Clip and Climb Area Instructor - Leisure

Clip and Climb Area instructor Grade 6 plus matrix payment for unsociable hours working,

Bury Leisure is looking to recruit 8-10 candidates to work as Clip and climb instructor on a permanent basis with 5-7 positions on a fixed rota pattern including evenings and weekend and 3 annualised hours basis to cover when required. Rota's to be confirmed for all roles.

We’re looking for Clip ‘n Climb Instructors who understand that climbing isn’t just an activity, it’s a confidence builder, a physical challenge and an exciting way for people to push their limits in a safe and supportive environment.

About the Role:

As a Clip and Climb Instructor for Radcliffe Leisure, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, safe and engaging climbing sessions, ensuring every participant has a fun and memorable experience. From first-time climbers to more confident participants, you’ll guide individuals of all ages and abilities as they build skills, confidence and a sense of achievement.

This role combines strong attention to safety with excellent customer service and the ability to motivate and encourage others. You’ll ensure all equipment is used correctly, provide clear instruction and supervision, and create an inclusive environment where everyone feels supported to challenge themselves.

You’ll meet a wide range of people from children experiencing their first climb to adults stepping outside their comfort zones and your ability to connect, inspire and build trust will be key to their experience.

You won’t just be supervising an activity, you’ll be helping people overcome fears, build resilience and leave with a real sense of accomplishment and that’s a rewarding thing to be part of.

What we’re looking for:

We're looking for someone who is passionate about climbing, who want to become Clip and Climb arena Instructorwho brings expertise, empathy and energy to every session someone who genuinely believes in the transformative power of learning to climb. Ideally with:

  • Relevant knowledge about Climbing & Safe release.
  • Who is engaging and a good communicator
  • Evidence of continued CPD demonstrating a commitment to staying current and developing your practice.
  • Excellent customer care skills and a natural ability to connect with and inspire climbers.
