Job summary

The Lincolnshire Electronic Assistive Technology (EATS) Service within Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Technologist to support assessments and equip patients with environmental controls and communication devices.

You will assemble, install and commission electronic assistive equipment in patients' homes or for mobile use, provide training and ongoing support, and contribute to service development to maintain high quality care.

Qualifications

• Participation in multidisciplinary clinical assessments for patients with complex physical disabilities.
• Assemble, install and commission electronic assistive equipment in patients' homes or for mobile use.
• Provide ongoing support through training and maintenance of equipment.
• Contribute to development of processes to ensure delivery of a high quality electronic assistive technology service.
• Engage in ongoing training and development of the service and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• To participate in, and support, the multidisciplinary clinical assessment of patients with complex physical disabilities.
• To assemble, install and commission electronic assistive equipment in patients' homes or for mobile use, to address individual needs for safety, security, communication, environment and access to electronic information systems.
• To provide on-going support for patients by providing training, maintaining equipment in good working order and by making any adjustments necessary to meet changing needs.
• To take an integral part in the development of processes to ensure delivery of a high quality electronic assistive technology service.
• To participate in ongoing training and development of the service, yourself and your colleagues.
