We'd like you to join us as a Clinical Team Leader - RMN at our Kings Norton service in Birmingham.

Kings Norton Hospital is a purpose-built adult mental health service with a capacity for 32 people. The hospital supports adults of all genders with severe and complex mental health conditions. In this state-of-the-art hospital, we provide high-quality intensive treatment in a clinically safe, caring, and secure environment.

We are looking for nurses to join our passionate team and help those with complex needs live their best life.

What you'll be working:
  • Hours will be worked on a rota basis
  • Long days and nights
What you'll be doing:
  • Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team and ensure the provision of high-quality care.
  • Ensure high-quality, individualised, person-centred standards of care are delivered to all patients.
  • Ensure the effective supervision and development of staff.
  • Work and act as a key member of the team, supporting each patient in achieving their planned outcomes.
  • Act as the lead nurse in the assessment, implementation of care through to discharge.
  • Take charge of the clinical area.
  • Develop and maintain communication with patients, relatives, families, and carers to support them in supporting patients' goals.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty to meet the needs of the service over a 24-hour period.
  • Ensure effective supervision and support for the nursing team on each shift.
  • Manage resources effectively through resource allocation, skill mix, roster management, equipment utilization, and authorisation of bank/agency staff as designated by senior management.
  • Participate in clinical audits, risk management, and incident reporting.
  • Deputise for the manager when required.
What you'll have:
  • A current NMC Pin registration (Registered Mental Health Nurse)
  • A legal right to work in the UK
