Clinical Team Leader - The Lookout Hopewood Hospital
The lookout hospital in Sherwood is a bespoke specialist service for young people, co-located with CAMHs community team and perinatal services.
Hercules Ward has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse to join our established Multi-Disciplinary Teams
Hercules Ward is an 8 bedded PICU that works with young people experiencing severe and enduring mental health problems. We work closely with families and a full MDT to ensure positive outcomes for young people and we encourage staff to be fully involved in patients care and participate in both group and 1:1 work.
Our team leaders have a key clinical role within a well established multidisciplinary team. Approximately half of shifts will take on the senior nurse on site role and responsibility for managing staffing, acuity and referrals in to service as well as other key clinical and operational issues. You will need to demonstrate that you have experience of working with people with mental health problems and supporting carers /families in an acute environment. You should have a working knowledge of the management of safeguarding processes, have excellent communication and leadership skills & be willing to work across a 24 hour/7 day rota across all 3 wards on a rotational basis

Main duties of the jobThe Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service offers treatment for children and young people up to the age of 18 for mild to severe emotional and mental health needs. There are four multi-disciplinary Community Teams supporting Nottinghamshire along with specialist teams such as Eating Disorders, Head 2 Head, CAMHS Crisis and Home Treatment, CAMHS Neuro, Children Looked After & Adoption, Primary Mental Health, Perinatal services and East Midlands Community Forensic Child & Adolescent Health Service (FCAMHS).
Our core purpose is to work with children and young people and their families/carers, who may be experiencing emotional and mental health disorders that have a significant impact on the child's development and cause distress to the child and/or their carers. We aim to improve the mental health of all children and young people with the provision of a timely, integrated, high quality, effective, multi-disciplinary county wide service.
