Main duties of the job
Successful applicant would join the emergency department team in the Emergency Care Centre that opened in February 2015. The successful candidates will be involved in coordinating and providing the undergraduate clinical teaching programme and will undertake sessions of clinical duties and professional development. The main clinical duties are to support a busy emergency department.
The successful applicant will have the option of being sponsored to study for the Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education or, if in possession of the Certificate, may wish to pursue the Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education. This should be completed during the year of their employment within the Trust and is subject to a financial cap.

A close working relationship with the Undergraduate Medical Education Coordinator ensures a well structured teaching experience for undergraduate medical trainees. The post is for a fixed twelve-month period (August 2025 to August 2026).
