With ongoing changes in acute medicine, this is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic team at Nottingham City Hospital, providing excellent care in a fast-paced environment. The unit admits patients via the Emergency Department, from home, and outpatient areas.

MSSD, Multi-specialty Same Day Emergency Care Unit, A Floor, QMC, Derby Road, Nottingham, NG7 2UH
Under supervision of a registered nurse, perform nursing procedures upon verification of competency and assist with patient care and treatment.
Assist with meeting patients' hygiene and comfort needs: washing, bathing, oral care, escorting to toilet, assisting with bedpans/commodes, making beds, handling linen.
Support medication administration, including nebulisers, under supervision; assist with vital signs and fluid charts; help meet dietary needs, including distributing drinks and meals, assisting with eating and drinking.
Perform competent venepuncture and cannulation.
Work independently within your scope, seeking guidance as needed.
Plan routines proactively and contribute to patient care standards.
Assist with administrative tasks like progress chasing, arranging scans, transport, and reception duties.
Recognize the importance of personal development and participate in training and audits.
