Job summary

AtriCure, Inc. in Bath, United Kingdom is seeking a Clinical Specialist, Cryo Nerve Block to support the field sales team by driving clinical adoption in operating rooms of cardiothoracic departments.

This role combines clinical education with hands-on procedural support to promote patient outcomes. You will train surgeons and OR staff, answer technical questions during cases, and collaborate with regional sales managers to grow business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, healthcare, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience in operating room environment; cardiothoracic, orthopedic, or related surgical experience preferred.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build professional relationships.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
  • Willingness to support early morning, daytime, and evening surgical cases as required.
  • Ability to travel up to 70%.

Responsibilities

  • Drive utilization and adoption of Cryo nerve block therapy within accounts.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with technical and procedural questions during cases.
  • Maintain understanding of surgical workflows and operating room protocols.
  • Educate surgeons, anesthetists, nurses and operating room personnel on Cryo nerve block use.
  • Deliver in-service training and product demonstrations.
  • Provide clinical support during surgical procedures.
  • Identify growth opportunities with RSMs and Clinical specialists.
  • Support physician education events and conferences.
  • Guidance and support for physicians during live procedures.
  • Train surgeon and medical staff with didactic and hands-on approaches.
  • Work in team with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Specilaist, Cryo Nerve Block role is responsible for supporting the field sales team in driving the clinical adoption and utilization of Cryo Nerve Block in operating rooms in the cardiothoracic surgical departments. This field based role serves as both a clinical and commercial partner, providing case coverage, product education and procedural support while helping the Regional Sales Managers build relationships and grow business.

As a clinical and technical resource for surgeons, anesthetists, perioperative staff and hospital stakeholders, the Ablation Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring successful product implementation and customer satisfaction. This position offers an excellent entry point into the medical device and medical sales industry, combining clinical education, operating room experience, customer engagement and exposure to healthcare sales strategy.

ROLESANDRESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive utilization and adoption of Cryo nerve block therapy within existing accounts by building clinical advocacy, increasing procedural usage, and supporting long-term customer success.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with technical and procedural questions during cases
  • Maintain a strong understanding of surgical workflows and operating room protocols
  • Educate surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, operating room personnel on the safe and effective use of Cryo nerve block technology
  • Deliver in-service training and product demonstrations,
  • Serve as a trusted clinical resource to customers, answering questions and demonstrating best practice
  • Partner with RSMs and Clinical specialists to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts
  • Assist with physician education events and conferences
  • Guidanceandsupportforphysiciansduringlivesurgicalprocedures,andutilizationand/oroperationof company technology
  • Conduct training for the surgeon and medical staff with modalities such as didactic and hands-on approaches
  • Providetechnicalandclinicalsupportduringsurgicalprocedures
  • Make calls on surgeons and support staff as necessary to discuss AtriCure technology, training programs, and clinical programs and trials

REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, healthcare, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience working in an operating room environment; cardiothoracic, orthopedic, or related surgical experience gained through industry or clinical practice is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
