Job summary

NHS Scotland invites applications for a Clinical Skills Facilitator in Inverness. This 1-year fixed-term/secondment role anchors the Highland Medical Education Team, delivering high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate medical education through clinical skills teaching and simulation-based training.

You will support planning and delivery of core courses, coordinate assessments including OSCEs, and provide supervision and feedback in both simulated and clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Has at least 5 years' experience at band 5 AFC including some acute care experience.
• Has a genuine enthusiasm for learning, teaching and developing others.
• Is highly motivated, organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical skills teaching and training sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate learners.
• Support the delivery of simulation-based education and skills training programmes.
• Contribute to the planning, organisation and delivery of core medical education courses and events.
• Facilitate and support assessments, including OSCEs
• Provide supervision, guidance and feedback to learners in both simulated and clinical environments.
• Work closely with Clinical Skills Educators, Medical Education Fellows and wider medical education team to ensure a high-quality learning experience.
