The Clinical Services Operations Director will be responsible for leading the clinical operations at Psychiatry-UK, with a focus on ensuring our titration and nurse liaison teams deliver high-quality, efficient services that meet regulatory requirements.
The Clinical Services Operations Director will manage budgets, drive improvements in clinical processes, and bring a passion for advancing healthcare delivery, backed by a solid track record in clinical operations management.
This is a home-based role (applicants must reside in the UK), though occasional travel may be required for face-to-face meetings at various locations within the UK.
As Our Clinical Services Operations Director, You Will
- Provide strategic leadership across clinical operations, aligned with organisational goals.
- Lead and support multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee day-to-day clinical service delivery to ensure efficiency and excellent patient outcomes.
- Ensure robust systems for supervision, appraisal, and professional development.
- Champion the voice and development of AHPs and clinical staff.
- Manage clinical budgets and resources effectively, identifying areas for efficiency and cost savings.
- Drive quality improvement using data, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Ensure full regulatory compliance, including CQC standards and safeguarding protocols.
- Collaborate with the executive team to improve services and implement operational strategies.
- Promote a learning culture that supports innovation and best practice in patient care.
- Oversee recruitment and retention of skilled, values-driven clinical professionals.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and partner organisations.

An experienced and forward-thinking clinical operations leader, passionate about transforming healthcare delivery. You combine strategic insight with operational know-how and lead with compassion, integrity, and a strong focus on outcomes.
Essential Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing/AHP equivalent.
- Significant experience in clinical operations management at a senior level within the NHS, or healthcare equivalent.
- Significant experience of working within the regulatory landscape, either as a regulator or of leading on CQC inspections.
- Proven track record of maintaining Good or Better services.
- Highly astute and able to influence others.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven track record of managing budgets at regional or national level.
- Proven track record of leading teams with coaching, compassion and kindness and of excellent colleague survey results.
- Understanding of managing data and using metrics to improve.
- Skilled at executing strategy.
- Skilled at supporting positive cultures
Desirable Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- Master’s in leadership/AHP/mental health.
- Experience of working at board level.
- Project management skills.
