Job summary

Go:Be Search Ltd is seeking an experienced Clinical Services Manager to support two Glasgow care homes, oversee daily operations, and provide nurse cover when required. The role is supernumerary with flexibility across a 7-day period, mainly Monday to Friday, with on-call on a rota basis.

The ideal candidate is an proactive RN with a strong clinical background and proven leadership to manage two sites, develop care plans, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality resident care across both homes.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with active NMC pin.
  • Experience in a senior management or supervisory role in a care home.
  • SVQ Level 4 in Leadership and Management desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Ability to make critical decisions and problem-solve effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to providing the best care for residents.
  • Strong knowledge of care home regulations, compliance, and best practice, including care inspectorate standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Care Home Manager in overseeing all aspects of both care home’s operations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with residents, and their families.
  • Ensure that your team attend training days and keep on top of the e-learning.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor care plans.
  • Help manage and mentor the care team, fostering their professional development.
  • Contribute to staff scheduling and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports relating to resident care and facility operations.
  • Support budget management and financial resources.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in addressing resident and family concerns in a compassionate and effective manner.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations to contribute to continuous improvement.

Job description

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Services Manager to play a crucial role in supporting the Care Home Manager with day-to-day operations.

This role is supernumerary working across two Care Homes in Glasgow, Nurse cover, covering nursing shifts will be required from time to time to support annual leave etc. Flexibility is required over a 7-day period to meet the needs and demands of the service. However, the role will mainly Monday - Friday with on-call required on a rota basis. The ideal candidate would be a proactive individual, with a strong clinical background, and an excellent ability to lead and help manage the two care homes.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required:
  • Essential Registered Nurse with active NMC nursing pin.
  • Proven experience in a senior management or supervisory role in a care home.
