Job summary

Marine Lake Medical Practice seeks a Research Nurse to join an experienced team. You will support commercially sponsored clinical trials across Cheshire and Merseyside, including Wirral and other sites. The role involves patient recruitment, consent, data handling, and remote monitoring.

You will liaise with sponsors, CROs and multi-disciplinary teams, travel between sites, and provide training to staff. A nursing degree, NMC PIN, and UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with patients in healthcare settings.
• Experience supervising nursing or healthcare students (Desirable).
• Current UK driving licence is required.
• NMC PIN and nursing degree are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment and screening of patients/volunteers for eligibility for research.
• Provide information and informed consent to participants.
• Document, report and manage adverse events per protocols and policy.
• Coordinate and conduct patient visits (site-based and remote).
• Perform venepuncture, cannulation, IV drug administration, vital signs.
• Collect, process and ship biological samples as required.
• Support commercially sponsored studies with compliant documentation.
• Support data analysis and preparation of reports, presentations and publications.
• Ensure patient safety and high-quality data across multiple sites.
• Travel between participating practices to support recruitment and study delivery.
• Provide mentorship and training to staff and students involved in research.
• Work flexibly outside standard hours to support multi-site activity.
