Job summary

Marine Lake Medical Practice is seeking a Nurse for a one-year research post within the Cheshire and Merseyside area. The role involves recruiting and following up patients across multiple sites, obtaining informed consent, and conducting study visits including venepuncture and cannulation.

Applicants must hold an NMC PIN and a UK driving license, with flexibility for remote or travel between practices as required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of clinical trial principles and ICH GCP.
• Experience in nursing within healthcare settings.
• Ability to supervise nursing or healthcare students.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for eligibility and monitor participation across sites.
• Obtain informed consent and provide ongoing information.
• Recruit and retain patients and travel between sites as required.
• Coordinate site visits, tests, data collection and patient support.
• Carry out venepuncture, cannulation and IV drug administration under protocol.
• Collect and ship biosamples and report adverse events.
• Ensure ICH GCP compliance and sponsor requirements.
• Liaise with sponsors, CROs and research teams.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with data analysis and reporting.
• Mentor and train research staff and students.
