Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust invites registered dietitians with an interest in mental health to join the ENERGISE-BD trial. This Wellcome-funded study evaluates nutritional ketosis versus NHS EatWell guidelines for bipolar depression.

As part of the ENERGISE-BD team you will recruit patients, guide interventions, collect data, supervise colleagues, maintain records, and contribute to national and international conference presentations while maintaining CPD.

Qualifications

• Registered dietitians with an interest in mental health.
• Wellcome-funded ENERGISE-BD trial evaluating ketosis vs EatWell for bipolar disorder.
• Recruit patients and guide two dietary interventions.
• Provide day-to-day supervision to ENERGISE-BD team.
• Maintain recruitment records and present progress at meetings.

Responsibilities

• Recruit patients and guide two dietary interventions (70% of time).
• Collect data on participant progress for both interventions (10%).
• Supervise and support team members including a postdoctoral researcher (5%).
• Maintain recruitment records and present progress at management meetings (5%).
• Contribute to conference presentations (5%).
• Maintain clinical skills through CPD (5%).
