Job summary

Service Care Solutions invites a Clinical Psychologist to join a West Midlands-based neurodevelopmental service, focusing on ASD/ADHD assessments for children and young people. The role supports pathway improvements within a hybrid working framework and NHS-aligned governance.

The post requires HCPC registration with at least 2 years’ diagnostic experience, using DIVA/ADI-R/ADOS, and collaboration across CAMHS and education partners. Attractive bonus and pension contributions apply.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting diagnostic assessments for Autism/ADHD in children and young people using DIVA, ADI-R and ADOS.
• HCPC registration is required to practice as a psychologist.
• Ability to integrate multidisciplinary input and apply clinical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Contribute specialist psychological assessment within ASD/ADHD diagnostic pathways.
• Review referral information and support triage and readiness decisions.
• Conduct structured clinical assessments as part of the MDT model using validated tools.
• Gather multi-informant information from home and school settings.
• Lead or contribute to MDT discussions and diagnostic decision-making.
• Identify co-occurring needs and escalate safeguarding concerns as needed.
• Produce high-quality assessment reports and MDT contributions within timeframes.
• Communicate findings to families and professionals with accessible language.
• Provide evidence-based recommendations on emotional wellbeing and educational support.
