Job summary

NHS Borders is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to work with adults with learning disability and a role that includes supervision and service development. The post is Band 8a, 1 WTE and permanent, with the forensic LD and general LD pathways integrated within a supportive team.

The successful candidate will provide expert assessments, formulation and intervention, contribute to CPD, and work across multidisciplinary teams in a rural Scottish setting with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Doctoral training in Clinical Psychology is essential.
• HCPC registration is required and eligibility to work in the UK must be demonstrated.
• Experience in Learning Disability services and interest in forensic LD is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical psychology services for adults with learning disability.
• Supervise doctoral trainees and support governance and service developments.
• Participate in multiagency collaboration and service improvement initiatives.
