This role involves assessing and managing the psychological wellbeing of children and young people in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough contract. It will be a contract role, forming the psychological cornerstone of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) in the area.

Essential Job Duties
  • Support MDT triage to appropriate services
  • Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate mental and emotional wellbeing
  • Provide group therapy or 1-1 therapy for children, young people, and families
  • Ensure clear and accurate documentation of assessments and progress notes
  • Collaborate with internal and external services
  • Educate staff and colleagues about psychological wellbeing and weight management
  • Uphold clinical governance and safeguarding structures
Qualifications
  • Psychology degree recognised by the British Psychological Society
  • HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist
Experience
  • Working with mental health/learning disability clients
  • Working with children
  • Multi-disciplinary working
Desirable Experience
  • Experience of CBT or family therapy
