Crossley Place in Prescot, part of Elysium Healthcare, seeks an experienced Senior Psychologist to lead specialist psychological interventions for women with complex mental health needs. You will report to the Consultant Psychologist and manage assessment, therapy, and risk assessments within a dynamic MDT environment.

You will deliver direct and indirect psychological treatments, supervise staff, and contribute to training while upholding HCPC standards.

Qualifications

• BPS recognised psychology degrees and HCPC registration
• Chartered Psychologist status and post-graduate qualifications
• Experience applying evidence-based psychological practice in clinical settings

Are you an experienced Senior Psychologist looking to take the next step in your career? Reporting directly to the Consultant Psychologist, you will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working and risk assessments. You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and be requested to design and deliver training. As a Clinical Psychologist working 22.5 hours per week, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service user’s caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans. As a Psychologist you will be:

• Participating in the assessment of referrals, and to provide initial assessment service users referred to the service.
• Undertaking high quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions.
• Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertake the assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi structured clinical methods.
• Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients’ mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence based best practise.
• Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.
• Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Company Policies and Procedures.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Have BPS recognised psychology degrees
• Be HCPC registered
• Have Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications
• Be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division
• Have understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
• Have experience of applying psychological knowledge to clinical setting
• Be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits
• Have previous experience of conducting research and project working
