Job summary

Rhodes Wood Hospital, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, is seeking a Psychologist to join its CAMHS Eating Disorders service. You will assess referrals, provide initial and ongoing direct and indirect psychological interventions, and make autonomous clinical decisions.

You’ll use structured methods, formulate treatment plans, and participate in multidisciplinary care. Reporting to the Therapy Lead, you will conduct diagnostic assessments, support care plans, and contribute to staff development through

• BPS recognised psychology degrees.
• HCPC registration is required.
• Chartered Psychologist status or eligibility.
• Approved supervisor within BPS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals and provide initial assessments.

Reporting directly to the Therapy Lead, you will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working and risk assessments. You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and be requested to design and deliver training. As a Psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service user's caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans. To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Have BPS recognised psychology degrees
• Be HCPC registered
• Have Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications
• Be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division
• Have understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
• Have experience of applying psychological knowledge to a clinicial setting
• Be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits
• Have previous experience of conducting research and project working
