Job summary

Rhodes Wood Hospital in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, part of Elysium Healthcare’s CAMHS Eating Disorders service, seeks an experienced Psychologist to lead assessments and deliver specialist treatments. You will manage complex cases, supervise staff, and contribute to staff development and training within a multidisciplinary team.

This role requires HCPC registration, Chartered Psychologist status, and post-graduate qualifications.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered psychologist with chartered status.
• Experience delivering specialist psychological treatments.
• Ability to carry a service user's caseload and assess complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Participating in referrals assessment and initial service user assessment.
• Undertaking direct and indirect specialist psychological interventions and autonomous clinical decisions.
• Utilising structured psychometric and semi-structured methods for assessments.
• Formulating and implementing specialist psychological treatment plans.
• Maintaining HCPC standards and adhering to policies.

Reporting directly to the Therapy Lead, you will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working and risk assessments. You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and be requested to design and deliver training. As a Psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service user's caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans. • Participating in the assessment of referrals, and to provide initial assessment service users referred to the service.
• Undertaking high quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions.
• Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertake the assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi structured clinical methods.
• Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients' mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence based best practise.
• Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.
• Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Company Policies and Procedures. Have BPS recognised psychology degrees
• Be HCPC registered
• Have Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications
• Be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division
• Have understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
• Have experience of applying psychological knowledge to a clinicial setting.
• Be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits
