  • Develop knowledge of Single Point of Access and how we operate within secondary mental health services.
  • Develop experience of mental health triage and initial assessments, routine and urgent referrals, within a multidisciplinary team.

Job description

As a band 5 qualified nurse you will be expected to contribute to the team by conducting mental health triage, comprehensive assessments and risk assessments under the supervision of band 6 practitioners which will inform the service users ongoing pathway into services appropriate to meet their needs., Maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures.

  • Responsible for the safe custody of medication, including checking and administration.
  • Ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement.
  • You will understand the role of Single Point of Access and how we operate within secondary mental health services. You will also develop a knowledge of local services available within primary care and the third sector and how this interface works.
  • You will develop experience of mental health triage and initial assessments both routine and urgent referrals and work collaboratively to a high standard within the multidisciplinary team.
