Job summary

Sterling Health Care seeks a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to support clinic patients and daily pharmacy operations. You will report to the Director of Pharmacy and help ensure safe, accurate medication dispensing.

The role requires knowledge of pharmaceuticals, data entry, inventory control, and customer service in a fast-paced clinic environment. Full-time, non-exempt position with possible evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year pharmacy experience preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing prescriptions under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Maintain familiarity with correct prescription terminology.
• Review prescriptions for completeness and accuracy.
• Enter patient data and prescription information into the computer system.
• Prepare and print prescription labels.
• Assist with inventory control of medications and supplies.
• Provide non-drug information to patients and answer basic questions.
• Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately.
• Maintain a tidy and organized work area and clean equipment.
• Attend required meetings and participate in additional meetings.
• Participate in staff development and educational activities.
• Maintain patient confidentiality according to policies and law.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
