Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to develop within their role, supporting the discharge hub to prioritise complex discharges and enhance patient safety. You will communicate effectively with staff and patients, work across dispensary and ward settings, and contribute to a large, collaborative team.

The role emphasizes accurate dispensing, patient counselling, and maintaining high standards while managing workload.

Qualifications

• Registered with the GPhC is required.
• BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or NVQ Level III in Pharmacy Services (or nearing completion).
• To be an accuracy checker or near completion of the course.

Responsabilités

• Final accuracy check on prescriptions and orders in line with Trust procedures.
• Provide cost-effective one-stop dispensing service to wards.
• Interpret and dispense prescriptions for inpatients and discharged patients.
• Advise patients on new/ongoing drugs, dosing and side effects.
• Liaise with pharmacy team and ward staff to resolve supply problems.
