Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join the Women, Children and Families Pharmacy Team. You will deliver specialist services across paediatrics, neonatology, obstetrics and gynaecology within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

The role offers opportunities to contribute to paediatric SACT, neonatal PN, medicines governance, education and service development while expanding advanced practice skills.

Qualifications

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Independent Prescriber qualification (or working towards).
• Committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Able to work autonomously within scope while contributing to multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services across WCF specialties.
• Provide expert medicines advice to multidisciplinary teams, patients and carers.
• Support safe prescribing and medicines optimisation across clinical areas.
• Utilise Independent Prescriber qualification, or develop towards its application.
• Participate in service development, quality improvement and medicines governance initiatives.
• Contribute to education and training within pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop across four pillars of advanced practice through structured job plan.
