A leading local employer is seeking a Cancer Services Pharmacist to join their team. This role focuses on providing care to patients undergoing systemic anti-cancer treatments. Candidates will have the opportunity for full training and progression in a supportive environment.
Are you a pharmacist interested in working in cancer services? This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in oncology pharmacy to develop their skills and knowledge in this specialist area. Full training will be offered to candidates who have not had an opportunity to work in cancer services before.
As a SaSH Cancer Services pharmacist, you will be looking after patients on the inpatient haematology ward and provide Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments to patients receiving treatment on our day units. Because the products are prepared off-site, the focus of the role is very much on clinical aspects working with the multidisciplinary team, and does not involve aseptic preparation work.
In addition, you will be given the opportunity to deliver project work and undertake core directorate activities, such as reporting and analysis of medicines expenditure, clinical governance and training.
Pharmacists working towards the essential criteria within this post are encouraged to apply. If you are the successful candidate, a tailored 6 to 7 progression post may be considered.
We welcome applications for part time or flexible hours, provided candidates can commit to working at least 3 days per week.
