Qualifications

  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist.
  • Post-registration experience in UK hospital pharmacy.
  • Experience in Clinical Oncology and aseptic services.

Job description

As a key member of the Pharmacy Team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and patient-centered clinical pharmacy service to patients at the Duchess of Devonshire Wing (adult cancer services).

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, plus on-call shifts.

Location: The London Clinic, 22 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW.

Salary: Band 7 equivalent salary range, depending on skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide a comprehensive and effective patient-centered clinical pharmacy service to designated Oncology/Haematology wards.
  • Lead and develop elements of the clinical pharmacy service to enhance the patient experience.
  • Ensure the release of chemotherapy products in accordance with GMP standards.
  • Facilitate and promote rational and optimal medication usage.
  • Provide relevant medicines information to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours pharmacy service as per the roster.

Skills & Experience

  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (UK) as a Pharmacist with postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification.
  • Post-registration experience in UK hospital pharmacy.
  • Experience in Clinical Oncology and aseptic services.
  • Patient-focused, proactive, and dynamic to operate effectively as the first point of contact for pharmacy services.
  • Organized, flexible, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
