Essex Lodge Surgery, part of the Newham Central Primary Care Network, is delighted to offer a full-time position for a Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber or Non-Prescribing Pharmacist) who wants to make a difference. This role offers the opportunity to join Essex Lodge Surgery, where we see the Pharmacist as critical to our ambitions to improve outcomes. We aim to recruit a Clinical Pharmacist to enhance the already excellent quality of service provided to our diverse local population. The role is diverse and likely to evolve, including risk stratification, patient-facing medicines support, audit work to meet practice targets, repeat prescribing (where applicable), structured medication reviews, participation in COVID and flu vaccination programs, unplanned hospital admission management, medicine safety, CQC preparation, implementation of guidelines, and general quality improvement.
Essex Lodge Surgery is situated within the North East London ICB and is a member of the Newham Central Primary Care Network. The practice provides services to approximately 17,000+ patients under a PMS Contract. It has been a GP training and teaching practice since 1985, with two GP trainers and GP registrars. The practice trains medical students from Queen Mary University of London and King's College London, emphasizing training and development as core to its ethos.
