A leading healthcare provider seeks a highly motivated Senior Rotational Clinical Pharmacist to join their dynamic team at Southend Hospital. This role involves delivering clinical pharmacy services across various specialities, ensuring medication safety, and supervising junior staff. Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the onlyacute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.
Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.
We collaborate with other valuable partners, including three Healthwatch organisations, nine voluntary and community sector organisations and three top tier local authorities, with seven district, borough and city councils, as well as our local universities.
A position has become available within the Clinical Pharmacist team at the Southend Hospital site.
This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated, open minded and dynamic pharmacist to support the delivery of our clinical pharmacy service.
The current clinical pharmacists team currently comprises a welcoming, forward-thinking and vibrant group of individuals, always seeking to improve current ways of working to benefit the patients we serve and promote a harmonious working environment.
You will need to be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal/ relationship building skills. In return, we will offer you a range of career development opportunities, both on the Southend Hospital Site and the wider Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
This role will involve rotations within varied specialist clinical areas including general medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, department of medicine for the elderly and technical services, as well as contributing to the provision of the 'on-call' service.
