William James Recruitment is assisting a leading UK law firm in Nottingham to recruit a Clinical Negligence Solicitor. The role offers a varied caseload across pre-litigation and litigated claims, with opportunities to develop technical expertise and client relationships.

The successful candidate will handle a broad range of healthcare matters, contribute to business development and mentor junior colleagues, while enjoying hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with experience in clinical negligence.
• Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and claims management.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Commercially aware with a client-focused approach.
• Excellent organisation and time management.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of clinical negligence matters across pre-litigation and litigious claims.
• Conduct matters independently or support on more complex cases.
• Draft pleadings, correspondence and detailed legal advice.
• Attend hearings and undertake advocacy where appropriate.
• Provide high-quality, commercially focused advice to clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support the development of junior colleagues through supervision and mentoring.
• Contribute to business development and wider team initiatives.
• Collaborate with healthcare practice colleagues to ensure efficiency and deadlines are met.
