Qualifications

• Recent experience of handling a caseload in clinical negligence
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and drafting skills
• Strong IT skills with MS Office, ProClaim and Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness in a legal environment
• Ability to coach and mentor junior team members
• Flexible and committed to deadlines

Responsibilities

• Manage an individual caseload in clinical negligence from inception through to trial
• Provide guidance and support to the team to deliver outstanding client service
• Contribute to proactive and commercial case management and progression
• Assist Team Leader in achieving KPIs and efficient workflows
• Draft legal documents including LOCs and letters of instruction
• Negotiate settlements and manage proceedings when required
• Oversee documentation and correspondence produced by the team
• Offer coaching and development to junior staff
