Chadwick Nott is recruiting for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor / FCILEx to join a well-established claimant team in Bristol. The role offers a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 with hybrid working (1-2 days in the office).

You will manage a varied caseload of litigated clinical negligence claims from inception to resolution, with autonomy and the support of experienced specialists in a flexible, people-focused culture that values professional development, work-life balance and ongoing training

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor, FCILEx or equivalent claimant clinical negligence experience.
• Proven experience managing a litigated clinical negligence caseload.
• Strong knowledge of CPR and clinical negligence litigation procedures.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• A pragmatic and proactive approach to progressing claims.
• Good IT skills and case management system experience.

Clinical Negligence Solicitor / FCILEx - Bristol

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Hybrid: 1-2 days office / remainder home working

Excellent opportunity for a Solicitor, FCILEx or experienced clinical negligence fee earner to join a well-established Clinical Negligence team within a respected national law firm. Recognised within the Legal 500 for its claimant work, the firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services.

Working exclusively on claimant clinical negligence matters, you will manage your own varied caseload of litigated claims, including complex and high-value cases from inception through to conclusion. This is a hands-on role within a supportive team structure, offering the opportunity to work alongside experienced specialists while enjoying a high degree of autonomy.

The role offers flexibility, with a mixture of home and office-based working.

Duties Include:

• Managing your own caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, including litigated cases
• Handling complex and high-value claims both pre- and post-issue
• Working closely with clients, counsel, medical experts, insurers and other stakeholders
• Progressing matters efficiently in line with procedural requirements and service standards
• Supporting and supervising colleagues where appropriate under the guidance of the Group Leader

Candidate Requirements

This is a busy and rewarding role suited to an organised and proactive clinical negligence specialist who is passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.

You will bring:

• Qualified Solicitor, FCILEx or equivalent claimant clinical negligence experience
• Proven experience managing a litigated clinical negligence caseload
• Strong knowledge of CPR and clinical negligence litigation procedures
• Ability to confidently handle complex and sensitive client matters
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• A pragmatic and proactive approach to progressing claims
• Good IT skills and experience working within a case management environment

Experience of Legal Expenses Insurance, publicly funded matters or CFA arrangements would be advantageous.
