Job summary

Cardiff Legal Firm is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our Cardiff team. The role offers hybrid working, handling a varied caseload and leading cases from pre-action through to settlement, with opportunities to develop expertise in a supportive, high-performing department.

The successful candidate will manage fast and intermediate track matters, work alongside specialists, and contribute to delivering outstanding outcomes for clients

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with experience in Clinical Negligence.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload of Clinical Negligence claims independently.
• Litigation experience desirable, with knowledge of the Damages Claims Portal (DCP).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of fast and intermediate track matters, overseeing every stage of the process, including pre-action investigations, litigation and settlement negotiations.
• Handle claims from initial instruction through to resolution while providing expert support and guidance to clients.

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join the expanding Clinical Negligence team of a highly regarded Legal 500 firm in Cardiff.

This is an exciting time to join a successful and growing department with an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding client outcomes. You'll play a key role in handling a varied and challenging caseload, managing claims from initial instruction through to resolution, while providing expert support and guidance to clients during what are often life-changing circumstances.

The successful candidate will take ownership of fast and intermediate track matters, overseeing every stage of the process, including pre-action investigations, litigation, and settlement negotiations. Working alongside a respected team of specialists, you will have the opportunity to further develop your expertise while making a genuine difference to clients' lives.

The Candidate

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with experience in Clinical Negligence
• Proven ability to manage a caseload of Clinical Negligence claims independently
• Litigation experience desirable, with knowledge of the Damages Claims Portal (DCP)
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• A proactive and professional approach to case management
