Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Matron to provide 24-hour accountability for quality, staff, finance and performance across Wykeham ward. You will ensure high quality, evidence-based compassionate care and lead on complex patient assessment and discharge planning.

• Lead on complex patient assessment requiring high level analysis.
• Provide visible leadership fostering professionalism, compassion, excellence and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive high quality, evidence-based compassionate care.
• Be responsible for Wykeham ward and its discharge pathways to ensure timely and safe discharges.
• Engage with monthly reviews and drive key performance indicators.
• Develop and implement service improvements and policies in area of expertise.
• Maintain strong links with the integrated discharge team and oversee onward care pathways.
