Job description
Clinical Leader (Orthopaedic) – Chester Hospital

Permanent contract | Full time | 37.5 hours per week | Up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience.

Conduct and organize the Clinical / Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, including the smooth running of theatre lists, organising booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres. Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department, which include Endoscopy, General, Orthopedics, Gynae. Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement, and ensuring policies and procedures to enhance patient care and service delivery. Have extensive knowledge required for dealing with audits and equipment. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment. Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training.

Qualifications
  • Registered with the appropriate governing body.
  • Relevant qualifications and post registration in surgery/anaesthetics experience, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner.
  • Strong clinical leadership and the ability to guide the team to a shared vision, promoting innovation and sustainability.
  • Good communication and organisational skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of running a smooth & effective department equipment.
