We seek an experienced and innovative clinician with a track record in quality improvement and staff management to join our forward-thinking department as the Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist at St Bartholomew’s Hospital.
Our Therapies department aims to contribute to the hospital's mission of excellence in cardiac, respiratory, and cancer care. We are passionate about service delivery innovation and fostering a healthy workplace culture where staff feel valued and motivated. Our team includes OT’s, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Speech and Language Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, and Support workers.
This role involves clinical leadership and management, championing initiatives within the Speech and Language Therapy profession. The post holder will support and manage SaLT’s within the Barts Heart and Cancer Centres, build collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams and external agencies, and provide expert advice on complex clinical issues, especially in Oncology, Palliative care, critical care, and Cardiorespiratory specialties.
The role supports strategic direction setting for the department, with objectives co-created with staff and stakeholders. You will benefit from a supportive multidisciplinary team and access to extensive education and development opportunities across clinical practice, research, education, and leadership.
