Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Bebington is seeking a Clinical Lead OT for the Paediatrics Complex Disability Team. Based at the Leasowe Millennium Centre, you will lead and develop the children’s OT service for school-age children with complex disabilities and neurological conditions.

You will assess and provide advice in educational and community settings, and support housing, adaptation, manual handling, and access.

Qualifications

• Graduate Diploma or BSc Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification recognised by HCPC in Occupational Therapy, Dietetics or Speech & Language.
• HCPC Registration is required.
• At least 4 years post-graduate experience, including Band 5 consolidation and Band 6 level development.
• Member of a relevant professional body (e.g., CSP, BAD, RCOT, RCOT S&L Therapists).
• Evidence of significant post-registration training to demonstrate specialist skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with staff, patients, carers and agencies.
• Analyse complex clinical information for education and service development.
• Provide specialist assessments and lead for a range of complex cases.
• Lead and develop OT services for school-age children with complex disabilities.

Education

HCPC Registration

4+ years post-graduate experience

Professional membership (e.g. Chartered Society of Physiotherapy / Royal College members)

Post-registration CPD / specialist training (MACP, Sensory Integration, Bobath, etc)
