Job summary

Orchid Healthcare in New Milton is seeking a Clinical Lead Nurse to join our elderly care team on a permanent basis. You will lead a dedicated nursing and care staff, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care and effective team leadership on the floor.

The role requires an RGN/NMC-registered nurse with strong communication skills and at least 5 years of hands-on nursing experience, with a passion for elderly care and a focus on dementia care where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified nurse – RGN – and registered with the NMC.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous senior nurse or clinical lead desirable but not essential.
• Min 5 years hands-on nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work autonomously and build relationships with management and care staff.
• Maintain and assess the home’s high quality care.
• Organise and motivate the carers to ensure excellent standards of care are delivered.
• Assist in inductions and orientations of new care staff.
• Help to uphold the home’s reputation as a recognised centre of excellence.
• Liaising with other healthcare professionals and members of the multi-disciplinary team.

A permanent Clinical Lead Nurse post has become available in a nursing home in New Milton that provides specialist care to the elderly!

• £22 per hour
• Must be a qualified nurse
• 36 hours per week, working the floor with some supernumerary hours

The successful Clinical Lead Nurse candidate will be required to assist the Care Manager in planning and implementing the highest quality of nursing care to the homes frail elderly residents, some of who may suffer with dementia. You will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of nurses and carers and helping to ensure the smooth running of this reputable nursing home. Good communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding care are therefore essential.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
