Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking a Clinical Lead for Imaging at Cavell Hospital in Enfield. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift pattern.

You will oversee clinical service delivery, engage with Consultant Radiologists, and support the DCS in maximising sessional use. The post requires MRI expertise, CT experience, and a Diagnostic Radiography qualification, with at least two years of supervisory experience in a multi-modality imaging department.

Qualifications

• Experience in an acute hospital setting in a Senior Radiography post or equivalent.
• 3 years MRI experience essential; CT experience desirable.
• Experience with GE MRI scanners essential.
• Experience of customer care and dealing with challenging situations.
• A Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within a multi-modality imaging department.
• Broad radiographic background with expertise in one or more specialisms.
• Knowledge of IRMER and IRR17 Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinical service delivery with professional staff deployment.
• Maintain dialogue with Consultant Radiologists on imaging service delivery.
• Support the Director of Clinical Services to maximise sessional use.
• Attend meetings with Radiologists to discuss clinical and operational issues.
• Monitor revenue capture procedures and ensure timely charging.
• Conduct radiographic examinations as autonomous practitioner within team.
• Ensure imaging department compliance with statutory regulations.

Clinical Lead - Imaging - MRI/CT Cavell Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £53,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Lead to join their team of staff in the Imaging department. This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties

• You oversee day-to-day clinical service delivery, with a high degree of professionalism, ensuring effective deployment of staff and provision of a high quality, responsive, patient focused service.
• You maintain ongoing dialogue with Consultant Radiologists on all clinical aspects of Imaging service delivery and support the Director of Clinical Services (DCS) in ensuring sessional use is maximised.
• You support the DCS by attending meetings (minimum annual) with Radiologists to discuss clinical and operational issues.
• You build and maintain excellent multi-disciplinary consultant relations, ensuring clinical service delivery meets clinical requirements.
• You monitor all revenue capture procedures and ensure that charges are completed, checked and dispatched in a timely manner.
• You conduct radiographic examinations as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multi professional team in line with professional & departmental standards.
• You work with the RPA and the DCS to ensure the imaging department complies with all statutory regulations.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria

• Experience working in an acute hospital setting in a Senior Radiography post or equivalent.
• 3 years experience in MRI essential with CT experience desirable.
• Experience with GE MRI scanners essential.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations.
• A Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
• A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within a multi-modality imaging department.
• A wide general radiographic background with expertise in one or more specialised areas.
• Knowledge of the healthcare service sector and the systems and processes used.
• Aware of College of Radiographers and HCPC Code of Conduct / Accountability.
• Knowledge of IRMER and IRR17 Regulations.
