Job summary

Circle Health Group in Enfield is seeking an experienced Senior Radiographer to lead day-to-day imaging service delivery in a multi-modality department. You will oversee staff deployment, maintain strong relationships with Consultant Radiologists and the Director of Clinical Services, and ensure sessional use is maximised.

The role requires a Degree in Diagnostic Radiography, HCPC registration, and at least 3 years of MRI experience (CT a plus).

Qualifications

• A Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Knowledge of IRMER and IRR17 regulations.
• Minimum 3 years MRI experience; CT experience desirable.
• At least 2 years supervisory experience in a multi-modality imaging department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinical service delivery with high professionalism.
• Maintain dialogue with Consultant Radiologists and support the DCS in sessional use.
• Attend minimum annual meetings with Radiologists to discuss issues.
• Build and maintain multidisciplinary relations to meet clinical requirements.
• Monitor revenue capture procedures and ensure timely billing.
• Conduct radiographic examinations as autonomous practitioner and team member.
• Ensure imaging department complies with statutory regulations with the RPA and DCS.
• Comply with mandatory training requirements.

Job description

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Duties of this role include:

• You oversee day-to-day clinical service delivery, with a high degree of professionalism, ensuring effective deployment of staff and provision of a high quality, responsive, patient focused service.
• You maintain ongoing dialogue with Consultant Radiologists on all clinical aspects of Imaging service delivery and support the Director of Clinical Services (DCS) in ensuring sessional use is maximised.
• You support the DCS by attending meetings (minimum annual) with Radiologists to discuss clinical and operational issues.
• You build and maintain excellent multi-disciplinary consultant relations, ensuring clinical service delivery meets clinical requirements.
• You monitor all revenue capture procedures and ensure that charges are completed, checked and dispatched in a timely manner.
• You conduct radiographic examinations as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multi professional team in line with professional & departmental standards.
• You work with the RPA and the DCS to ensure the imaging department complies with all statutory regulations.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training. Experience working in an acute hospital setting in a Senior Radiography post or equivalent.
• 3 years experience in MRI essential with CT experience desirable.
• Experience with GE MRI scanners essential.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations.
• A Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
• A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within a multi-modality imaging department.
• A wide general radiographic background with expertise in one or more specialised areas.
• Knowledge of the healthcare service sector and the systems and processes used.
• Aware of College of Radiographers and HCPC Code of Conduct / Accountability.
