Job summary

General Practitioner - Clinical Lead in Torquay, Devon, is a permanent part-time role offering 6-8 sessions per week with a salary up to £125,000 FTE depending on experience. The post combines high-quality clinical work with clinical leadership within an established primary care service.

You will work with the Practice Manager and the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care, governance, and ongoing practice development, with opportunities for progression and specialist interests.

Qualifications

• Holds GMC registration and inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
• GP accreditation / MRCGP or equivalent experience.
• Has previous experience or a strong interest in clinical leadership.
• Committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Good understanding of QOF, DES/LCS and clinical governance.
• Confident working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proactive approach to service development and improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality GP consultations across a varied patient population.
• Supporting clinical governance and maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Providing clinical leadership and supporting the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Contributing to QOF, audits, CQC standards and other quality improvement initiatives.
• Supporting the development and delivery of the practice action plan.
• Helping to improve patient experience, access and clinical outcomes.
• Supporting colleagues with clinical decision-making and professional development.
• Taking an active role in the ongoing development of the practice.
