Job summary

Career Makers is recruiting a Clinical Lead for a Nottinghamshire nursing and dementia care service. This full-time, permanent role offers £23.00 per hour with a strong emphasis on clinical governance and staff development.

The successful candidate will provide leadership to nursing and care teams, ensure high standards of care, support staff through coaching and training, and oversee care planning, audits and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Current NMC registration as an RGN or RMN.
  • Experience in a nursing/home environment, preferably dementia care.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations and clinical governance.

Clinical Lead

Are you a Registered Nurse looking to step into a senior clinical leadership role where you can influence standards of care, develop teams, and make a genuine difference to residents' lives?

We are recruiting for an experienced Clinical Lead to join a well-established nursing and dementia care service in Nottinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nurse who is passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care while supporting the ongoing development of clinical practice and service quality.

The Role
  • Providing leadership, support, and guidance to nursing and care teams.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and resident wellbeing.
  • Supporting staff development through coaching, supervision, and training.
  • Monitoring care planning, risk assessments, and clinical documentation.
  • Leading audits and driving continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Overseeing medication management and infection prevention practices.
  • Supporting new admissions, assessments, and care reviews.
  • Promoting clinical governance, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.
  • Acting as a role model for best practice across the service.
  • Deputising for the Home Manager when required.
About You
  • Current NMC registration as an RGN or RMN.
  • Previous experience within a nursing home, elderly care, or dementia care environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and clinical governance.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional person-centred care.
  • The ability to inspire, motivate, and develop colleagues.
