Job summary

FIND | Medical is seeking an experienced Registered General Nurse to step up as Clinical Lead in Durham. The role is hands-on clinically, with responsibility for day-to-day oversight and guiding a dedicated care team to deliver high standards of care.

The position is 36 hours per week, split between clinical duties on the floor and protected supernumerary time to focus on leadership, governance and staff development. NMC PIN active is essential, with prior leadership experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC PIN.
• Experience in nursing, residential, dementia or elderly care.
• Experience in clinical leadership roles such as Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager or Senior Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical oversight of the service and supervise the care team.
• Lead on clinical governance and ensure residents receive safe, person-centred care.
• Work 36 hours per week (24 on the floor, 12 supernumerary) to support leadership and team development.

Are you a Registered General Nurse ready to step up into a Clinical Lead role?

We’re working with a well-established care provider who are looking for a confident and experienced RGN Clinical Lead to join their team in Durham.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Nurse who enjoys being hands‑on clinically, leading a team and making sure residents receive the highest standard of care.

As Clinical Lead, you’ll take responsibility for the day‑to‑day clinical oversight of the service, working closely with the wider team to ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and person‑centred care.

The role is made up of 36 hours per week - 24 hours on the floor and 12 hours supernumerary, giving you dedicated time to focus on clinical leadership and supporting the wider team.

What are we looking for?

• You’ll need to be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC PIN and previous experience within nursing, residential, dementia or elderly care.
• We’re particularly keen to speak with Nurses who have previous experience as a Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager, Senior Nurse or in another clinical leadership position.
