Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Lead for Blakelands Hospital to support clinical teams in delivering outstanding care and quality outcomes for patients. You will help create a supportive environment for colleagues to develop their skills and enhance services.

As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will assist the Head of Clinical Services in effective communication with staff, patients and peers, driving excellence in safety and quality of care

Qualifications

• Professional clinical registration with NMC or HCPC.
• Minimum five years' experience as Head of Department or equivalent.
• Knowledge of clinical governance and infection control.
• Understanding of legal and professional care standards.
• Strong clinical experience and team management skills.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Clinical Services in communicating with staff, patients and peers.
• Drive excellence in safety and quality of care.
• Deputize in the Head of Clinical Services' absence during leave and training.
• Motivate and guide clinical teams to achieve impressive results.
• Support operational management to meet business and workforce objectives.

As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you'll aid in operational management to meet the business and workforce objectives of Blakelands Hospital and Ramsay Health Care. In this role, you will assist the Head of Clinical Services in communicating effectively with staff, patients, and peers, driving excellence in safety and quality of care. You will also deputize in their absence during leave and training. As an inspiring leader with a strong track record of developing high-performing teams, you will motivate and guide our clinical teams to achieve impressive results. Blakelands Hospital is a day case hospital with two operating theatres and departments for outpatient, x-ray, and physio services, focusing on Ophthalmic, Orthopaedic, Gastroenterology, Breast, and general surgery. What you'll bring
