Job summary

NHS Dumfries and Galloway is seeking a Clinical Imaging Manager to lead Radiology services across the region. The role oversees a large team, manages a substantial annual budget and drives performance, governance and service development in a digital imaging environment.

The successful candidate will shape imaging pathways, support workforce planning and work collaboratively with clinical and corporate colleagues to improve patient outcomes and safety.

Qualifications

• Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent professional qualification.
• HCPC registration or equivalent.
• Experience managing substantial healthcare budgets.
• Experience leading imaging services across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible professional leadership and operational management across Radiology.
• Manage a budget and lead service development, workforce planning and financial governance.
• Ensure clinical governance, risk management and continuous improvement across sites.
• Involve digital imaging technologies and AI-enabled solutions to modernise imaging pathways.
