Clinical Healthcare Support Worker, Band 3 - Oncology Outpatients (30 hours a week)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic outpatient HCSWs to join our existing teams within Oncology Outpatients at CGH. We are looking for HCSWs who possess good organisational and people skills, along with a variety of nursing skills.
We are a dedicated and supportive team providing treatment and care to a wide variety of patients. Our departments are busy, unpredictable environments, where we care for patients attending appointments for oncology treatments and procedures.
Our department operates Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm. The successful candidate will be expected to work within these hours.
To work as part of the outpatient's clinical team, assisting in the delivery of high-quality services under the supervision of qualified staff. To support all staff with the day-to-day running of services at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
To work effectively with people at all levels and as a team member. To undertake link roles that will assist in the smooth running of the department. To provide nursing and personal care, contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. To communicate effectively, especially where patient ability to do so may be compromised, and to chaperone when required. To contribute towards a forward-thinking, compassionate, and inclusive workforce that emphasizes teamwork.
We are seeking highly compassionate and enthusiastic HCAs with good communication and people skills to help us continue delivering outstanding care. We are an experienced team committed to our patients' hospital experience.
The successful candidate will work within our Oncology Outpatients setting and rotate to our Chemotherapy Administration Outpatient Department. We actively support staff development within their roles.
Our departments are open Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm, with occasional late finishes.
