A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse or AHP to undertake the new role of Divisional Clinical Governance Facilitator - an integral clinical post within the Division of Surgery.
You will be a nurse or AHP with significant experience across the governance agenda. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Divisional Management Team and Directorate triumvirates with all aspects of quality and clinical governance a mangement, and will provide key support to the Divisional Director and Associate Director of Nursing on the divisional risk management, governance arrangements, patient safety, learning response delivery and associated quality improvement across the Division.
The post holder will provide support and guidance to clinicians and managers in all aspects of quality and clinical governance and ensure that the divisional commitment to managing risk and learning responses is systematically coordinated.
The Divisional Governance Facilitator will also be responsible for supporting the Division to ensure safety of services and delivery of high standards of patient care.

To co-ordinate the clinical governance agenda within the surgery division directorates. This covers those systems and processes for assessing, monitoring and improving services, including patient and public involvement, risk management, clinical audit, clinical effectiveness programmes, staffing and staff involvement, education and training, and the use of information.
Specifically the postholder will provide multidisciplinary clinical staff with the support to implement effectively the principles and practice of clinical governance and quality improvement across the directorates, within a framework that uses information to guide reflection, leading to action and outcomes monitoring. The postholder will work closely with the central clinical governance team to deliver Trust approved work programmes.
The postholder will undertake these functions under the line management of the Associate Director of Nursing and Deputy Divisional Director of Operations (this will be determined locally), the postholder will, in the first instance, have support from the Divisional Lead for Governance and the Assistant Director of Clinical Governance.
