This opportunity is within Uniphar Medtech, a division dedicated to delivering innovative medical technologies and solutions.

The Role:

Clinical Field Engineer, primarily working in the Ulster region, responsible for routine maintenance, repair, and installation of devices at customer sites and in workshops.

Based in Belfast, covering mainly the Ulster region, with occasional travel nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Install, commission, and repair a variety of medical devices in hospitals and healthcare facilities.
  2. Provide first-level customer training and clinical support for equipment.
  3. Handle equipment such as Patient Physiological Monitors, Defibrillators, ECG Recorders, Ventilators, Clinical Networks, and Contrast Injectors.
  4. Manage customer relations with an emphasis on communication and satisfaction.
  5. Participate in an "out of hours" emergency call rota.
Role Requirements
Essential:
  • Formal qualification in electronics or electrical engineering.
  • Valid Working Permit, if applicable.
  • Full Clean Driving License, where required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Good numerical and computer skills.
  • Organizational skills and understanding of health and safety issues.
  • Team player with the ability to interact well with staff.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing support role.
  • Aptitude for IT and networking is an advantage.
