This opportunity is within Uniphar Medtech, a division focused on delivering innovative medical technologies and solutions.

The Role:

Clinical Field Engineer, primarily working in the Ulster region, responsible for routine maintenance, repair, and installation of devices on customer sites and in workshops.


Based in Belfast, covering mainly the Ulster region, with occasional travel nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, commission, and repair a range of medical devices in hospitals and healthcare facilities.
  • Provide first-level customer training and clinical support on equipment.
  • Manage equipment such as Patient Physiological Monitors, Defibrillators, ECG Recorders, Ventilators, Clinical Networks, and Contrast Injectors.
  • Proactively manage customer relations, emphasizing communication and satisfaction.
  • Participate in an 'out of hours' emergency call rota.
Role Requirements

Essential:

  • Formal qualification in electronics or electrical engineering.
  • Valid Working Permit, if applicable.
  • Full Clean Driving License, where required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Understanding of health and safety issues.
  • Team player capable of interacting with all staff.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving and process development skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a customer-facing support role.
  • IT and networking aptitude.
