University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust seeks Clinical Fellows (FY3) across several specialties including Specialist Medicine, Haematology, Obs and Gynae, Paediatrics and Surgery. The role is full-time, fixed-term for eight months, with on-calls and a Foundation Year 2/CT1 level remit.

You will be allocated a clinical and educational supervisor with access to training opportunities and an e-portfolio, and duties mirror the FY2/CT1 level with MDT participation and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifikationen

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Experience in clinical inpatient / hospital settings.
• Minimum of 1 year NHS experience.
• Achieved foundation competencies.
• Excellent communication and ability to relay complex information.
• Analytical judgement with attention to detail.
• Basic/Intermediate Life Support (BLS/ILS).
• Ability to perform basic procedures at F2 level.
• Ability to work independently and under supervision.
• Plan annual/study/leaves per local procedures.
• Commitment to dignity, respect and compassionate leadership.

Aufgaben

• Supervise and assist the Foundation Year 1 in ward management.
• Liaise between nurses, doctors, patients and families.
• Attend ward rounds and junior doctor tasks as timetabled.
• Teach medical students as directed.
• Participate in MDT and ensure safe service delivery.
• Take part in rostered emergency / on-call work.
• Dictate discharge summaries and letters for timely planning.
• Attend weekly educational and multidisciplinary sessions.
• Maintain medical notes and PAS systems with care plans.
