NHS Jobs is seeking a clinician to supervise and support the Foundation Year 1 doctors in the day-to-day management of in-patients. The role requires close liaison with nurses, doctors, patients and families, and active participation in ward rounds to ensure safe patient care.

You will contribute to teaching medical students, participate in on-call duties, and help ensure timely discharge planning and accurate notes.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise, monitor and assist the Foundation Year 1 (F1) in the day-to-day management of in-patients
• Liaise between nurses, Doctors, patients, relatives and senior medical staff
• Attend and participate in ward rounds and junior doctor tasks as timetabled
• Teach medical students as directed
• Work positively with the JDA team to ensure safe service delivery and patient care
• Take part in rostered emergency / oncall work
• Dictate discharge summaries and TTO letters for timely discharge planning
• Attend weekly educational and multidisciplinary sessions
• Complete medical procedures and jobs in line with patient care plans
• To ensure medical notes and PAS systems (NerveCentre) are kept up to date with clinical information, home today status and discharge / care plans / next steps
• Attend induction in each hospital or new department
• Comply with all local policies including dress code, annual and study leave etc
• Ensure adherence to CQC and UHL guidelines
• Complete audits as required and organised through your consultant seniors
• To constantly uphold a high level of patient / customer care. To communicate and liaise with patient families and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the safe delivery of plans and complex medical information.
