Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking an administrator to join the Document Assessment Team, supporting six GP practices run by Penrose Health. You will review and triage clinical correspondence, route items to clinicians, and code information into EMIS to maintain accurate patient records.

Applicants should have a biomedical/healthcare degree and strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and time‑management skills to help reduce clinician admin workload.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical, biochemistry or a related healthcare field.
• Experience with clinical document triage is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.

Responsibilities

• Review and triage incoming clinical documents, including hospital letters and reports, and decide action needed.
• Route information to the right clinician based on urgency and clinical protocols.
• Code and summarise key clinical information into EMIS to keep patient records accurate.
• Spot urgent or safety-critical information and escalate promptly.
• Manage workflow queues and maintain safe turnaround times.
• Support clinicians by handling administrative tasks to free up clinical time.
• Handle lab results and manage referrals as needed.
